Meet hillary
Hillary Grove is a Washington, D.C.–based creative working at the intersection of art, design, and human connection.
She’s been making art since she could walk—fingerpainting her way into visual expression—and her early fascination with human behavior led her to study psychology. That path evolved into roles in management and client relations, where she developed strong communication and leadership skills.
Today, Hillary focuses on visual storytelling through marketing, brand creation, digital design, and painting. She combines her understanding of people with a passion for aesthetics to create thoughtful and compelling visual identities.
Whether designing a website, developing a brand strategy, or painting a canvas, Hillary creates work that connects—intuitive, intentional, and deeply human.
Process
Hillary creates layered abstract pieces using unexpected tools—spatulas, bubble wrap, and packing foam—reimagined as brushes and stamps. She builds texture through poured acrylic, nail polish, and sculptural spackle, often working quickly to bypass perfectionism before refining each surface with intention.
The result is playful yet grounded work that celebrates transformation, elevating once-discarded materials into expressive, light-catching compositions.
